SealCoat
has developed a poison free method of preventing the build up
of hard marine fouling growth. The method imitates the way in
which many of our marine mammals naturally protect themselves
by creating a surface that hard bio fouling will not settle on.
The coating known as SealCoat AF is patented and now available
throughout the world. The final layer of the coating looks and
feels like velvet. Have you ever seen a seal with a barnacle on
it?
What
is SealCoat AF?
Sealcoat Af is made up of two layers. Firstly a layer of powerful
adhesive is applied to the surface. The adhesives are specially
blended from solvent free epoxies and are safe to apply. Once
cured they do not harm the marine environment. Secondly we spray
millions of micro fibers into the adhesive before it is dry. The
micro fibers are large enough not to cause damage to applicators
and have no negative effect on the environment. As the micro fibers
are sprayed each one is electrostatically charged using our own
especially developed equipment so that it stands up right in the
adhesive.
How
long will SealCoat AF last?
SealCoat AF will last many years, however it is important that
the underlying protective coating is in good condition well applied
and will adhere to the SealCoat adhesive. We therefore recommend
that when you need a long lasting solution that you should first
apply our corrosion protective solutions either Cpro premium or
Cpro standard.
Does
SealCoat AF come with a warranty?
Yes. When applied together with Cpro premium a 5 year warranty
is provided. When applied with Cpro standard a two to three year
warranty is provided.
What
surfaces can SealCoat AF be applied on?
SealCoat AF can be applied on wood, aluminum, steel, concrete
and fibre glass.
How
do you apply SealCoat AF?
Only approved applicators can apply SealCoat AF.
How
does SealCoat AF compare price wise?
SealCoat AF is extremely competitive. Click onto the graph which
compares SealCoat AF against other types of paint. The SealCoat
AF cost includes the appropriate Cpro solution.
